You Are So Skinny

Poem a day #28 is a response to prompts from NaPoWriMo and Write Better Poetry: 1) write your an index poem, and (2) write an “You are blank” poem.

there is
no history
to recall
or forget
no sweet
tingle tongue
no crusty
bread drying
your mouth
tasty tips
no longer
remind
you now
seated by
the ebbing
and flow
of tea
like sea.
Eyes up
the horizon
still blue
a chorus
of cloud
color yet
to spread
its chant
you bask
in the calm
following
this day
as if
the last
taste.
